Heiligenberg is a hill more than 400 meters across the Neckar from Altstadt.
You can explore it from Schlangenweg, a winding road that starts directly above the old bridge and climbs from vineyards to the woods, follows the path of the philosophers and opens up to panoramic views of the city and Neckar Valley. .
At the top are the ruins of Michaels Kloster, the Monastery of St. Michael, which was built in the eleventh century and abandoned in the sixteenth century.
